10/5/23 – This is a nice Arisaka Type 38 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is mismatched and has a ground Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It comes with a period-correct dust cover – numbered but mismatched. There is not much actual finish loss on the metal parts, but there are areas of spotty oxidation throughout, most noticeable on the floor plate/trigger group. There is some surface rust around the rear sight and on the butt plate. The wood shows all of the typical sings of wear and use. Mint bore.
