10/4/23 – This is an original US M1905 rifle bayonet. The bayonet is uncut and comes with a WW1 era scabbard, that’s marked “G.H.Y.” on the backside. The bayonet blade has spotty discoloration and some of the darker areas have light pin pricking and mild pitting. The edge has a few small dings and dents from use, and the tip is blunted / chipped from use. U.S. stamped on one side of the ricasso, while the other side is flaming bomb stamped, 1906 dated, and RIA maker stamped. Dark patina throughout the cross guard and pommel area. Nice original wood grips. The scabbard has normal aging and dark patina, as well as a few small notches along the side.
