9/25/23 – This is an original example of an early and desirable Colt Model 1902 pistol, that was manufactured in 1905. There were only ~18,000 of this model produced, all between 1902 and 1928. The military model can be distinguished by the rectangular shape to the frame, swivel lanyard loop on frame, and the additional cartridge capacity in their magazines. This model was chambered for .38 Rimless, and is very similar in design to the innovative M1900. This particular example has retained about 95% of its bright Colt bluing. Minor wear around the muzzle. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are micro-scratches in the finish throughout and some areas of light spotty oxidation – most noticeable on the grip straps. Fitted with hard rubber Colt grips and comes with one proper magazine. Mint bore.
