9/19/23 – This is a very nice example of a no-letter-suffix Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in December of 1942. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 88” military acceptance proofs throughout. This is particularly desirable because it comes with the original Customs Declaration Document that lists this exact gun by serial number. The gun also comes with an excellent 1942-dated hard shell holster and two “Eagle 88” marked Spreewerk magazines. The gun itself has retained about 94% of its original finish. There is minor muzzle wear, very minor wear on the high edges of the slide, an area of light spotty wear on the right side of the slide, and some minor thinning and light brown patina on the front strap. Fitted with excellent period-correct bakelite grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
