9/13/23 – This is mint condition Finnish “Sneak” Mosin Nagant M39, manufactured in 1970 and chambered in 7.62x54mmR. The M39 was an improvement over the other Finnish Mosin predecessors, and they are considered to be the finest and most accurate Mosin Nagant rifles ever made. The nickname “Sneak Rifle” is presumably coined in U.S, but origin of it may be Finnish “Salapyssy”. These rifles were assembled in Finland in very deep secrecy, and as such nobody knows exact production quantity. This example is still in unissued condition, with the metal retaining nearly all of its bluing, and the wood furniture in superb condition. Bore is pristine.
