9/6/23 – This is an original WW2 German Army Dagger by Eickhorn. The dagger comes complete with an original scabbard, portepee, and hanger; all in excellent condition. The dagger blade is very clean with minimal surface scratches from scabbard rub wear, and a few mild speckles of discoloration. Excellent cross-graining visible throughout, and a crisply etched Eickhorn maker stamp. The edges are unsharpened. The hand guard and pommel are stunning with most of the original finish intact. Light high edge wear, but the condition on these is as good as it gets. The burnt orange bakelite handle has no cracks or chips. Minimal scuffing and light surface wear on the portepee, but tight overall with no fraying. The scabbard has a minor dent near the toe, but is in great overall condition. Very nice hanger that’s excellent overall, and silver colored aluminum metal fixtures.
