9/6/23 – This is a rare military 1911, made in 1915 at Springfield Armory. One of only ~30k produced at Springfield for WW1. All original with proper ‘S’ on all smarts (shown in photos). The original blue rates at around 75% with most of the wear on the slide, along the top and around the sides of the muzzle. Also minor wear on the grip safety/mainspring. “Idiot mark” on frame and slide. Proper barrel with light frost and freckling in the grooves. Nice wood grips with no cracks. Two-tone, WW1-era mag. NOTE: The bushing has a crack in it, so would use a replacement if you plan to shoot this pistol.
