9/5/24 – This is an RZM-marked Walther PPK from 1935. The RZM (Reichs Zeug Meisterei) was the equipment office of the NSDAP and was established to contract for equipment. These pistols were commonly thought to be issued to the German political leaders of the time. This one is all matching and has retained roughly 70% of its original finish. There is obvious wear along both sides of the slide and areas of light pin-pricking throughout. Fitted with a very nice brown grip (tiny chip on the bottom edge) and comes with a period-correct finger extension magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is obvious spotty freckling throughout.
