9/22/23 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 44 Carbine issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The bolt is mismatched, but there is a fully intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. The metal parts have retained about 95-96% of their original finish with just minor wear around the muzzle and on the bayonet lug. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas of light spotty oxidation throughout, most noticeable on the barrel and bayo lug. The wood furniture shows the typical signs of wear, and there is a crack toward the front right of the stock. Mint bore.
