8/25/23 – This is a nice example of a scarce Enfield No 4 Mk 1* made by Savage. These guns were manufactured in the US during WW2 to assist England as a part of the Lend-Lease Program between England and the US. These guns are “US Property” marked and have US military flaming bomb and “P” proofs. All matching with British export markings on the barrel. The metal parts have retained roughly 70% of their black enamel finish. There are areas of scratchy wear throughout, most obvious around the muzzle and on the receiver. Nice wood furniture with only minor dings and bruises. Mint bore.
