8/28/23 – This is a good condition original WW2 1944 Collins & Co Machete with canvas sheath. The finish on the blade shows a fair amount of use with a decent amount of re-sharpening done. However, there is no rust or pitting. The base of the blade near the handle shows a maker’s mark with the date 1944. Wood grips come in great condition, showing some aging and minor handling marks, and are without splits or cracks. The canvas sheath comes complete with all original stitching and no rips or tears. Writing on sheath reads U.S. Meese, INC. 1943
