8/21/23 – This is an original WW2 production K98 Dress / Parade bayonet. The bayonet blade is a shorter example, measuring under 20cm overall. The blade has a nickel finish that’s in near-excellent condition with mild flaking near the tip. There’s some mild surface scratches and some light patina and wear along the edge. Maker stamped on one side of the blade base. The leather stopper is still intact, as is the red felt insert in the lug slot of the handle. The cross guard and pommel have some mild surface discoloration and light scratches. The grips are original with a sharp diamond pattern. Comes with a black painted scabbard in great condition and a leather frog. The frog is maker stamped and 1941 dated on the back, as shown.
