8/4/23 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is entirely matching (except the firing pin) and has a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. The metal parts have retained almost all of their original finish with very minor high edge wear in general and some tiny scratches on the trigger guard. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is minor brown patina visible under the finish throughout. A casting flaw on the trigger grouping. There are obvious dings, dents, and scratches on the wood throughout. Small chip in the wood around the front barrel band. Stone-mint bore.
