9/6/24 – This is a scarce Colt 1911A1 from very early in 1941, one of the first ~2,000 made that year. Original parts, including the matching numbered slide and proper Colt barrel with large ‘G’ under lug. The pistol finish does show notable wear, especially on the front strap and along the top of the slide, and it is also an old re-blue. Scarce wood grips that show obvious age and smoothing. Unmarked mag. Bore is generally clean with good rifling, but minor signs of frost and use.
