7/25/23 – This is a nice example of a “ce 44” Code JP Sauer K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is mismatched but has no import marks. The metal parts have retained roughly 70% of their original finish with thinning on most of the parts and come areas of light spotty oxidation here and there. Some light scratchy wear on the floor plate / trigger group. No major damage to the wood furniture, but does show the typical signs of wear. There are a few tiny holes in the sling well on the right side of the butt stock. There appears to be some faint writing on the right side of the butt stock as well. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
