8/2/23 – This is an original, later WW2 production Luger holster issued to the German Police. The holster is typical police style, and is fairly scarce since Luger production mostly stopped in 1942. This holster likely went with a police reissued or reworked luger, but would also be appropriate for most WW2 production Police Lugers. The holster has very nice black leather with some mild surface imperfections but no major issues. There is evidence of some light polishing / added black dye to the front of the holster, which has turned some of the stitching black. There’s a small area of scuffing on the front leather near the toe, and typical wrinkling on the closure strap. No notable stitching flaws. Maker stamped, 1943 date stamped, and police proof stamped on the back leather. Clean interior leather.
