7/13/23 – Early first year production Husqvarna M/1887 revolver. Only 350 were manufactured by the Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Arsenal in 1897, with the remainder of the ~14,000 manufactured from 1898-1905.
All parts are numbered with matching serial number 236, including the frame, barrel, cylinder, cylinder axis pin, ejector rod collar, loading gate, trigger guard, trigger, hammer hand/pawl. The grip panels are also stamped with a matching serial number 236.
The revolver is marked with a Landstormen (Swedish Territorial Army) inventory number of L No. 3169.
Finish is excellent, with halos on the bluing visible around the Landstormen inventory number, indicating that it was not refinished since being inventoried by the Landstormen circa the First World War.
The revolver is in excellent mechanical condition. Single action breaks clean and double action is smooth. Lookup is good, and I have fired over 150 rounds through this revolver. With 32 S&W long cartridges, it hits about 3 inches to the right at 25 yards, but your results may differ depending on the brand of ammunition used.
The lanyard ring is missing.
