6/27/23 – This is an original 1942 dated holster for a Sauer model 38h pistol. The holster is in great condition except for the small tear in the closure strap, extending from the fastening loop. This small break in leather has been repaired with superglue, as shown in photos. The strap is still delicate, and is stamped with a faint waffen eagle on the tip of the strap. Under the closure strap is a “jhg 42” maker and date stamp. The side flap has some mild surface wrinkling throughout. The interior leather has a very faint “Sauer H” ink stamp and shows normal signs of use and aging. The “H” is the most visible letter in the ink stamp. The exterior leather has some mild top leather wrinkling but no major issues. All original stitching intact.
