6/16/23 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Woodsmaster Model 81 semi auto rifle, chambered in .300 Savage. From the “RJ” date code on the barrel, it was manufactured in November of 1940. Overall, the gun is excellent. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their original bluing with very minor muzzle wear. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are a few tiny dings on the left side of the receiver and some small areas of very light freckling here and there (mostly on the receiver). Minty wood furniture. Mint bore.
