6/15/23 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 Rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching and has a partially-visible Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. The metal parts have retained about 96% of their original finish with minor muzzle wear, minor high edge wear in general, and some light spotty wear on the left side of the receiver. While there isn’t much actual finish loss, there is heavy spotty oxidation on the floor plate / trigger group. The wood furniture is very nice but has been lightly sanded. There appear to be some screws missing from the front barrel band. Stone-mint bore.
