6/14/23 – This is an excellent example of a Smith and Wesson Victory that was issued to the US military in 1942. It is all matching, has a flaming bomb proof, and has a “US Property” marking on the top of the frame. The frame also has a “Bavarian Municipal Police” marking on the left side of the frame, indicating it was then diverted to the Bavarian Municipal Police. Comes as a rig with an excellent “MP4” marked tan leather holster. The gun is excellent, retaining about 95% of its original finish. There is very minor wear on the high edges of the cylinder, light roll mark on the cylinder, and minor scratchy wear around the muzzle and down the barrel. There are small dots of oxidation throughout and noticeable brown patina on the straps. Comes with nice original wood grips with minor bruises on the bottom and one small chip on the right side. The bore looks factory-new.
