6/14/23 – This is an excellent example of a Model 1911A1 issued to the US military during WW2. The slide was made by Colt, and the frame was made by Remington Rand in 1943. It is “United States Property” marked, has a faint cross-canon cartouche, and has the proper “FJA” inspection initials. Period-correct High Standard barrel. The gun has retained about 93% of its parkerized finish. The majority of the wear is around the muzzle and on the high edges of the slide. A couple of small spots of wear on the front strap. Fitted with excellent period-correct reddish plastic grips. Comes with one magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
