6/7/23 – This is Belgian “Mexicain” revolver. From research, it was most likely manufactured in the 1880s. We weren’t able to find a whole lot of information on this little gun. It is Belgian-made and has Belgian proofs on the right side of the frame. Chambered in .44 Caliber with a 4″ barrel. Double action/single action with a unique front sight blade halfway down the barrel. It is fitted with black bakelite grips that feature a lion and a palm tree. There is wear on both sides of the barrel and a significant area of wear on the cylinder. Tiny pitting in the same areas. Some spotty wear and pin-pricking on the back strap as well. The bore has good rifling, but there is light freckling throughout.
