6/2/23 – This is a very rare Mauser Luger rig from 1941 that was captured from a U-Boat officer, and was featured in one of our Youtube videos that is linked below. The listing includes a signed statement from Theodore Allen Coney that details how he obtained this pistol specifically from U-889. It also includes the firearm registration he filed in 1949, as well as packets of history on this U-Boat. The pistol is all matching and original, including one of the original magazines. It has a nice profile view but the majority of the bluing loss is on the grip straps. Excellent black widow style grips. The spare magazine is period original but mismatched to this pistol, and it comes in an original ’42 holster that has been cut in a couple of places. Listing also includes a copy of a book about U-Boats by Michael L. Hadley.
