6/1/23 – This is a very nice example of a commercial WW1-era Mauser C96 that was re-barreled for 9mm. It now has a shorter 4″ barrel. It was also fitted with a set of military “Red 9” grips. We believe the grips are period-correct but repainted. Both the grips have different serial numbers, neither of which match the gun. The gun itself is almost entirely matching, but the floor plate is mismatched. The finish on the pistol is restored. There is minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges. Some light scratches along the barrel, on the left side of the frame, and on the floor plate. A series of tiny dings at the back left of the slide. Minty bore.
