5/31/23 – This is an original WW2 production SA Dagger by J.A. Henckels. The dagger comes with an original scabbard and leather belt hanger, as shown. The dagger blade is in very good overall condition with visible cross graining and some mild surface patina and dark surface oxidation throughout. The tip of the blade appears to have been sharpened and slightly shortened. The blade inscription and maker stamp are both clearly visible. The cross guards are non-magnetic nickel with typical surface patina and light signs of aging. The lower cross guard is Gruppe stamped “Wf”. The wood handle has no cracks or chips, but there are a few light surface dings and scratches. The scabbard is excellent with a brown painted finish. The leather hanger and clip are unmarked but in great condition.
