5/24/23 – This is an original Waffen SS Panzer Officer’s “Wrapper” Tunic, complete with attached medals and RZM pattern Wiking Division Cuff Title. The tunic is in near-excellent overall condition with no major issues in the cloth and all original stitching throughout. The back of the tunic, near the central spine of stitching, has a few small scuffs that have been repaired with stitching (shown in photos). There’s also one small hole near the cuff sleeve, but this is small and very minor. The cuff title appears machine-sewn and is in excellent condition. The epaulet / collar tabs and shoulder boards are also machine sewn and excellent. The left sleeve eagle patch is zig-zag machine sewn. The attached medals are a close combat badge, a black wound badge, 25 engagement bronze panzer badge, and a merit cross. All of the attached awards are original and in great condition. No interior wear or damage on the tunic, and all buttons intact. The 5th SS Panzer Division “Wiking” was one of the elite Panzer divisions of the thirty-eight Waffen-SS divisions of Nazi Germany during World War II. It was among the first divisions of the Waffen-SS to be formed, and its members were recruited from foreign volunteers, predominantly from Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and Belgium, under the command of German officers.
