5/18/23 – This is a very nice example of a BYF 43 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a very nice 1942-dated hard shell holster, one “Eagle 135” marked Mauser magazine, and one “Eagle 359” Walther magazine. The gun has retained about 94% of its dusty-blue finish, unique to the BYF 43’s. There is minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges of the slide. Areas of minor wear on the top plate and on the top of the barrel through the ejection port. One small spot of minor pitting on the left side of the slide and light freckling on the front grip strap. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
