5/24/23 – This is an excellent example of a Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in June of 1939. It is all matching, but an unnumbered firing pin. In any case, the gun comes as a rig with one original matching-numbered magazine and a scarce leather shoulder holster – the top flap of the holster is separate from the body of the holster, as the stitching along the seam is gone. The gun also comes with an original capture paper that lists a Japanese pistol and a samurai sword – the pistols’ serial number is not specified. The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish. The most obvious sign of wear is an area of discoloration on the right side of the trigger guard. There is dulling and light freckling on both grip straps. Fitted with excellent wood grips – no visible numbering. Near-mint bore.
