4/26/23 – This is an original 1940 dated police issued Luger holster from WW2. The holster comes with a police stamped Luger tool. The holster is in very good overall condition with a maker stamp, date, and police eagle proof stamp on the back leather. The holster is also unit stamped “408” as shown. The leather was likely dyed black originally, but most of the dye has worn from the back leather, and the front leather shows signs of fading dye as well. The leather is soft with normal pliability. The interior leather shows typical signs of use. The stitching is all original and in great condition, although there are a few loose stitches on the top leather / lid area of the holster. This doesn’t affect functionality and is generally a mild issue.
