4/18/23 – This is an original US M1917 Revolver holster from WW1. The holster is in great condition with all original leather and stitching. The base of the holster still retains the original lanyard loop as well. The front of the holster is “US” stamped, and the back of the holster is maker stamped with a 1917 date and inspector initials. All of these stamps are faint and mostly faded out of the leather with time and aging. The leather is soft and has normal pliability. There’s surface cracking on the left side of the holster, as well as light wrinkling throughout the front leather. The back of the holster has a hole that looks like it was intentionally added near the back toe. The stitching is in great overall condition.
