4/14/23 – This is a WW2 German Kriegsmarine dagger with an original scabbard and portepee. The dagger blade is etched on both sides and in great overall condition. The etching shows mild patina and aging as the etching has become slightly dull with time. There’s also a few small areas of speckling and surface oxidation. There are no major issues and the edge is unsharpened. Maker stamped by WKC on one side. The red felt stopper is replacement. The hand guard and pommel are in great condition with typical light surface patina. The handle has a tightly wrapped chord and no cracks or chips. The portepee has some very mild fraying near where the rope meets the knot, but is excellent overall. The scabbard has a few mild dings and imperfections but is in great overall condition.
