4/7/23 – This is an excellent example of a rare “Ku” prefix Luger. The historical significance of these pistols is still largely debated in the collector community, but the general belief is that these are Lugers put together by Krieghoff using leftover parts. This one is all matching, has the proper “Ku” serial prefix, and has the distinctive Luftwaffe markings on the barrel and right side of the slide. This one is even more interesting because it has a scarce “41/42” Code. It has retained about 96-97% of its bluing with minor wear around the muzzle, along the left side of the barrel, and on the side plate. Some very light brown patina and minor dulling on the grip straps. Both grip panels are marked with the full matching serial number “3486”, which is correct for this variation. The magazine is not numbered but has a black bakelite bottom, which is often the case. A tiny chip on the left side of the mag bottom. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
