4/7/23 – This is an original 1942 dated holster from WW2. The holster is maker stamped and dated under the closure strap. There’s also a waffen military proof stamp under the closure strap, as shown. The leather is in great condition, although there are 4 small holes in the front leather, likely from added GI embellishments that have been since removed. The leather has normal pliability and signs of previous use without excessive wear or damage. All original stitching intact. The interior leather has a faint remnant of the original designation ink stamp, but all that’s visible is the 7,65mm portion. This would have read either “Mauser” or “Sauer”.
