4/4/23 – This is a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” proofs. Comes as a rig with a nice 1942 dated holster, one Walther magazine, and one scarce late war U-marked magazine. The Walter magazine is missing a pin in the floorplate. On the holster, the name “Rose” is scratched onto the top flap and written on inside. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original dust blue finish. The most obvious sign of wear is some spotty discoloration and minor pitting on the right side of the slide, frame, and front strap. There is also some minor high-edge wear. Fitted with excellent blackish-brown bakelight grips. Bore has good rifling with pin pricking throughout. Decocker is functional.
