3/31/23 – This is a hard-to-find and desirable, early 1941 Colt M1911. This, of course, was made before the US entered WW2, so production numbers were comparably very low. This is one of the later examples with an original parkerzied finish. “RS” inspector proof is on the side of the frame and also on top of frame. The slide is correctly numbered to the gun. Proper Colt barrel with a large “G” under the barrel. It comes as a rig with a 1942-dated Crump holster and one magazine. There is not much actual finish loss on the gun, but there is noticeable spotty oxidation covering the metal parts. Areas of pitting on the left side of the slide and frame. Very nice period-correct reddish plastic grips. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with pitting throughout.
