3/30/23 – This is an original WW1 Snail Drum Luger Magazine Canvas Carry Pouch. This example is photographed in the book, “The Borchardt & Luger Automatic Pistols” by Joachim Gortz and Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess, on page 1468 of Volume 3. Originally purchased from the collection of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess through Simpson Ltd. This example is in excellent condition with clean canvas and all original fittings and stitching intact. No markings or stamps. The base of the pouch has some dark surface discoloration along the edge, but this is minor. The backside has more surface discoloration and general aging wear.
