3/22/23 – This is a nice example of a Chicom Mosin Model 53 manufactured at Factory 26 in 1960. All matching, including the stock, with the proper proofs. This particular gun was captured in Vietnam in 1969 and comes with a photocopy of the original capture paper (serial number of the gun is listed). There is not much actual finish loss on the metal parts, but there is noticeable brown patina and spotty oxidation throughout. Some noticeable pitting on the front sight, on the round part of the bayonet, and on the bolt. No major damage to the wood, but there are typical signs of use. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout. Comes with an original canvas sling.
