3/22/23 – This is an excellent example of a DWM Luger that was originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1918. All matching with the proper military proofs. This one is “double dated” with a “1920” government property marking on the receiver, indicating it remained in government service after WW1. This one was issued to the German police force, as evidenced by the added police sear safety and police unit marking on the left side of the frame. The stock lug was ground. It comes as a rig with a minty 1918-dated holster and one mismatched wood-bottom magazine. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its bluing with very minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, at the base of the front strap, and on the back strap where the lug was ground. Nice wood grips that are numbered but mismatched to the gun. The bore has good rifling with minor frosting throughout.
