3/20/23 – This is a very nice example of a Mauser Banner Luger issued to the Nazi police force in 1941. It is all matching and has the proper police “Eagle L” proof on the right side of the slide. It was tapped for a police sear safety, but it is not there. The gun also comes with one original matching-numbered police magazine. It has retained about 95% of its finish with areas of minor wear on the side plate, on the side rails, around the muzzle, and minor thinning along both sides of the barrel. While there is not much actual finish loss, there is light spotty oxidation along the barrel and some very minor pin-pricking on both grip straps. Excellent waffen-proofed grips. The bore has strong rifling with some very light freckling in the grooves.
