3/14/23 – This is an original 1944 soft shell style P.38 holster. The holster is maker stamped and dated with a factory double-stamp and a waffen proof underneath. Also P.38 stamped as shown. The holster has some honest wear and signs of previous use and aging with normal pliability. Holds shape nicely. The stitching is all original but there are a few missing stitches on the side flap. This doesn’t affect functionality and is about 5-6 total stitches. The bottom of the left belt loop is missing a line of stitching as well, but this almost looks like it left the factory this way as the left belt loop is slightly smaller than the right. Might be a later wartime production flaw.
