3/8/23 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching and comes with an original monopod. Unfortunately, the Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been ground. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition with very little actual finish loss. There are just a couple of very light scratches along the barrel and some minor wear around the edges of the butt plate. While there is very little finish loss, there is some light brown patina under the bluing in some areas. Very nice stock with no major damage and typical signs of wear. It looks like there are the initials “RN” lightly scratched into the right side of the butt stock. Mint bore. The two side arms of the rear sight are missing.
