3/7/23 – This is an original 1914 dated Luger holster from WW1. The holster is in great condition with all original leather that’s completely intact with normal pliability. There’s some typical surface discoloration and signs of previous use, but no excessive wear or damage. The interior lid is ink stamped with a unit number, and the back leather is maker stamped and dated on the exterior between the belt loops. The stitching is in excellent condition and all original except for two lines of black stitching on the back leather. These two lines are found at the top where the lid attaches to the main body of leather. Likely a period replacement or repair, as there’s wear over the leather and stitching on the interior that is definitely aged and is married to the leather in a way that only time can create. An overall impressive early WW1 example holster.
