2/10/23 – This is an excellent condition Cold-War era East German LP 1 Flare Pistol. This example has a minty black-painted alloy metal construction which we rate about 99% overall condition. Very minimal exterior wear except for small traces of high edge wear. The right side of the frame is stamped “1001” which is the maker code for Ernst-Thalmann Werke in Suhl, Germany. The left side has small proof stamps and is serial numbered as shown. Mechanically sound with smooth functionality. The bore shows some light use wear and surface patina, but no excessive damage.
