2/10/23 – This is an original 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger with an original scabbard and portepee. The dagger is in excellent overall condition with a very clean, shiny blade that’s maker stamped by Paul Weyersberg. Just above the maker stamp is a small Luftwaffe eagle/5 proof stamp on the blade. There’s some very mild speckling on the blade and rub wear from the scabbard. The hand guard and pommel have typical surface patina and edge wear, but no excessive wear or damage. There’s traces of the gold wash finish on the swastika of the pommel. The orange handle has no cracks or chips and a tightly wound chord. The portepee is in excellent condition with mild surface wear but very little-to-no fraying. There’s traces of finish remaining on the scabbard and no dents, but there is also dark surface patina in areas, as shown.
