2/3/23 – This is a matching and original commercial Mauser C96 from 1918-19. The bluing is original throughout, rating at 80-85% with most of the wear on the barrel and side rails. There’s also some notable patina in a few areas. Matching numbers throughout, including the grips. The bore has strong rifling and is generally shiny but there’s a little frost and freckling in the grooves. The left grip panel is stamped with initials, and the right panel has initials carved into it. Not sure the significance of either one.
