Hikari Seiki
Bayonet
WW2
013023-3

3/1/23 – This is an original WW2 era production Japanese Type 30 rifle bayonet. The bayonet is an early production example with early features, such as a bright, fullered blade, hooked cross guard, and bird’s head pommel. The blade is maker stamped by Hikari Seiki Arsenal on the ricasso, and the pommel of the handle is serial numbered. According to Labar’s book, this is a Variation E LB-95. Based on the serial number on the pommel, this is a 92nd series. The blade is excellent with minimal surface wear. The edge is sharpened about 1/3 of the way down from the tip. The blued cross guard and hilt are in great condition with mild surface patina. Excellent wood grips. Comes with a tubular tipped metal scabbard as shown. There’s mild surface patina throughout but no major dents or issues.
