1/24/23 – This is an extremely early example of a Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in July of 1927. It is mostly matching, but the cocking knob is mismatched. The gun has retained about 95% of its original and early high polish finish. There is very minor high edge wear in general, but most of the finish loss is on the top of the chamber. There are areas of pitting on the chamber, the back strap, and underside of the trigger guard. Pin-pricking on the front strap. The right grip is numbered and matching, the left is un-numbered. The right panel is slightly worn along the edges and fits a little loosely. Comes with one mismatched nickeled magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling but there are a couple of small areas of light oxidation. Very light red filling in the markings.
