Dagger
WW2
011123-12

1/12/23 – This is an original WW2 production SA Dagger made by Paul Seilheimer, which is a fairly scarce maker. The blade is in good overall condition with some honest wear on both sides. The wear is mostly dark oxidation and surface patina, but there’s also some scratching and mild signs of sharpening along the edges. The maker stamp is still crisp and clearly visible however. The hand guard is SA Gruppe stamped “Om” as shown, and is in great condition with mild surface patina. The pommel has similar surface patina and mild wear, and both fittings are early nickel. The wood grip has two small hairline cracks on the front – one coming up from the hand guard, and other coming down between the SA emblem and pommel. The back has two small cracks as well, one from the pommel and one from the hand guard. These are minor overall. The scabbard is painted brown and the paint is beginning to chip and fall off in pieces. There’s surface cracking in the paint currently, which results in paint “flaking”. There’s a small dent in the toe of the scabbard but this doesn’t affect functionality.
