1/6/23 – This is a rare and desirable variation 1944 hard shell style P.38 holster. The holster is maker stamped with code “lyo” which is a Polish factory believed to be run by slave labor. Therefore most “lyo” P.38 holsters are in poor condition made from scrap leather and are often found with stitching issues. This example is in great condition, except for the belt loops which appear to be re-stitched. The leather is soft and pliable but still completely intact. The back leather is maker stamped, dated, waffen proofed, and P.38 stamped. There’s surface scratching and typical aging wear but no excessive damage.
